Student Council

In the light of Atatürk’s principles and revolutions, Student Council at IZTECH, is sensitive to its environment and society and it aims not only to address the current problems but to have a say and take the initiative in the process of solving these problems, as well. In addition, the council mainly functions to take an active part in all decision-making bodies about issues concerning students, supports decisions in favor of students, contributes to students’ scientific, cultural, social, sporting and mainly educational, activities, strives to do its best to represent the IZTECH students both within and outside the University.

Student councils at universities, independent of any political authority, are organizations that are directly responsible to the Rector and their objective is to identify the basic needs and problems of students and to convey them to the relevant authorities. In other words, they act as a bridge between students and the university administration.

Members of the Student Council shall be determined via democratic elections. Those that are elected come together and form the faculty representatives, the Executive Board and the Supervisory Committee.
