IZTECH Received Higher Education Leadership Award

Izmir Institute of Technology ( IZTECH) won the “Leadership and Management Team of the Year Award” at THE Awards Asia 2024, which is recognised as the Oscar of Higher Education.

While the “Leadership and Management Team of the Year Award” at THE Awards Asia 2024 was deemed worthy of IZTECH, which strengthens its brand value in the international arena day by day, the Queen of Malaysia Raja Zarith Sofiah personally presented this prestigious award to IZTECH Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran.

IZTECH, the rising value of the country and the region, was awarded the “Leadership and Management Team of the Year Award” at THE Awards Asia 2024, known as the Oscars of Higher Education and awarded by the international rating platform Times Higher Education (THE).

The results of THE Awards Asia 2024, given by the London-based international University rating platform Times Higher Education (THE), which aims to recognise outstanding leadership and corporate performance among higher education institutions, were announced at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, with the presence of the Queen of Malaysia Raja Zarith Sofiah.

In the evaluation made by the jury members, who stated that the ‘Clarity of Vision’ in the transformation of IZTECH into an innovation centre was the factor that brought the Institute the first prize; “The strategy was based on the understanding of the potential of not only the institution but also the region where it is located. ” was stated in the evaluation.

Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran stated in his statement that he is proud and happy to have brought the award to the Institute and Turkey and said: “We are working with great effort and devotion to carry our institute to better points in the international arena. The fact that our efforts are appreciated and reciprocated in the global arena motivates us even more. I would like to sincerely thank the esteemed jury members who deemed such a valuable award worthy of our Institute and all our academic and administrative staff, students and stakeholders who contributed to our success. As the university administration, we determine our strategy primarily by developing projects that will enable our Institute, our region and our country to have a stronger voice in the international scientific platform. We will continue to work with all our strength and love in order to carry our IZTECH and our country’s higher education to even more advanced points in the world”.
